Sims 3 woman and Simbot Woohoo!

It has been a long time hasn’t it? A few days after I posted my review of The Sims 3: World Adventures, I had to eat my words that it wasn’t that buggy. I took one of my Puggington legacy family on a vacation to China and when they returned all of the files were corrupt. Not just one one or two Sims but on all the Sims 3 families that I had in the game. They were totally unrecoverable and it was just so frustrating I decided to take a break from playing The Sims 3.

That lasted for a little bit but when I heard that The Sims 3 Ambitions was coming out I knew it would be only a matter of time until I was back playing the game. I totally uninstalled The Sims 3 and installed it all over again when I bought my copy of The Sims 3: Ambitions.

I am delighted to say that Sims 3 Ambitions has been running on my system for over a week now and I haven’t had any problems at all. Not only that but all of the bugs from World Adventures appear to be have been fixed up. So, I am back and I am going to go back to sharing my custom content and fun Sims 3 finds.

The first of these Sims 3: Ambitions finds is both saucy and creepy all at the same time! When you install Sims 3 Ambitions you now have some new lifetime rewards added to the existing selection. One of those is a to add a Simbot best friend to the household. My Sims character had just had her husband die and was feeling a bit lonely. So, I decided it would be the perfect time to add a Simbot to the home.

Wow! It turns out the Simbot best friend can be WAY more than friends. I was just curious if they could flirt with each other and it turned out they could. Then I decided to see just how far the game would let them go and before I knew it the Sims 3 woman and her Simbot (a female simbot at that!) were having woohoo!

I thought I would make a Sims 3 video of it just to prove it happened! I have to admit to being a bit weirded out but also increasingly curious. Can the Simsbot and ‘human’ Sims marry? If my Sims 3 woman had a male Simsbot would they be able to try for a baby? So, wrong but you know somebody will try!

One of my Sims is suffering from Restless Sim Syndrome

Since early yesterday, one of my Sims 3 characters has come down with a terrible condition. I am calling it Restless Sim Syndrome. Shortly after being rushed to the hospital to give birth to her first Sims 3 baby, Shantel Jayne – the wife of the now grown son of Sarah Jayne – began to suffer from this new found Sims 3 illness. Restless Sim Syndrome has meant that she is unable to sit or lay down without having the need to suddenly stand up.

It all started with her standing up in the middle of her bed every few moments during the night. Then she was noticed standing up while using the toilet and then not being able to use the treadmill without falling off the end every other second. Now, Shantel Jayne has reached the stage in her case of Restless Sim Syndrome where she can not even sit to read a book with her child without being forced to stand up and then sit back down.

Well, I have finally been getting my teeth into playing The Sims 3. So far, I am loving it! I have spent a lot of time playing with the Create A Sim tool and making lots of things to share on the Sims exchange. Still, I have managed to get some actual playing of The Sims 3 in too.

Mainly, I have been playing my Sarah Jayne Sims 3 character. The one that looks a bit like me. Today, I left her alone in her house for a little bit and when I looked in on her she was making this face in the mirror! I am sure it is because she has the childish trait. That is proving to be a fun trait because it means the Sims character does silly things at random times.

I just had to share this picture. When I was taking all of those pictures of my copy of The Sims 3 to share on the blog, my pug kept getting in the way. She is Parker The Pug and she is a great dog. We have two dogs actually, her and then a Spaniel called Maggie too. Maggie is pretty much just chilling today but Parker has decided she *needs* my attention because I am spending far too much time fussing over these shiny boxes.

No matter where I tried to move to take the picture of The Sims 3 boxes and my subway sandwich, Parker The Pug would get in the way. Just look at expression on her cute pug face. It says ‘but mommy you should be playing with ME!’.

So, now she is on my lap while I install The Sims 3.

Susan Boyle as a Sims 3 character

Alas, it is true that Susan Boyle did not win this year’s Britain’s Got Talent. Still, it is probably the case that the dance group which did win needed the win more than Susan Boyle anyway. She will go on to have a recording contract and her fame has already grown to international levels. Whereas, performing for the Royals may just be the top level for the dance troop.

Still, regardless of how the show turned out for Susan Boyle, I thought it was great that the folks behind The Sims 3 put out this short video wishing Susan Boyle luck. Wouldn’t we all love to be turned into a Sims 3 character this way? With seeing Susan Boyle as a Sims 3 character, we can be sure she has now made it into the the realm of celebrity.

There are so many fashion combinations for the female characters in The Sims that I am often guilty of neglecting the fashion needs of my male Sims. I think part of that is because I have tended to think that the clothing and hair options for the men in The Sims 2 wasn’t nearly as expansive as for the women.

It looks like that is all about to change with the introduction of The Sims 3. Just take a look at these grabs from The Sims 3 and check out how fine the men of The Sims 3 are going to be!

Yup, that was a pretty cheesy topic for a blog post which is pretty much just some sample screen grabs I have from The Sims 3 that feature the Sims 3 kids. Boy have Sims kids come a long way from just being a crying baby in a crib in the original version of The Sims.

In The Sims 2 the kids in The Sims started to have more personality. They would become toddlers rather than going straight from baby to kid. Now, it looks like the younger characters we are going to meet in The Sims 3 look even better. Just look at these pictures of kids from The Sims 3 and notice all the detail in their faces and expression. You know this is going to be fun!

The guys that put together The Sims games really know how to make me giggle. Sometimes it isn’t even their out and out jokes that get me. For example, I came across this sample picture for The Sims 3 and I couldn’t help by chuckle.

Just take a look at this Sims 3 couple and the way they apparently worship camouflage. It is just too silly and I love it! I love that even their chess table carries over the camouflage theme. Apparently the male part of this couple from The Sims 3 really loves it too by the looks of that heart thought cloud over his head.

I was digging through some old links and came across this old parody of The Sims. Even though they call is Sims 3 it was done way before The Sims 3 was even announced. That doesn’t stop it being funny though! If you have ever played the Sims you will laugh at this! You can tell these guys have spent as many hours as we have playing The Sims. I especially like the way the one guy stands in front of the other guy when he is trying to watch TV and makes the same exact arms up shrugging action that my Sims always make.

As you can tell, in anticipation of The Sims 3 release date, I have been going through the older Sims 3 trailer videos that I have been watching over the past months. I think this is one of my favorite Sims 3 videos that they put out. I am a politics nut so I am a bit of an easy sell on a video like this one but I don’t think you had to politically savvy to enjoy it. After all, in this Sims 3 election coverage video, Sarah Palin gets into the brawl we probably all secretly would love to see! Plus, it is great just to sometimes not take the most serious things we do in society seriously a couple moments and laugh at them.
