The Sims 3 Create-a-Sim is going to rock!
I am not usually the type of woman that is into really girlie girl things. However, I have to admit that one of the things I enjoy the most about playing The Sims is the very beginning of play when you design your own Sim. I just can’t get enough of manipulating their faces and picking out just the right Sims outfit to make a truly unique Sim character. Still, after so many years of playing The Sims 2 it does feel like I have probably exhausted the possibilities – especially with their Sims hair. That is why I think the new Create-a-Sim tool that is going to be part of The Sims 3 is really going to rock. First of all the possibilities with The Sims 3 hair is going to be way beyond anything we have been been able to do with The Sims 2.

From what the EA Games people tell us, in The Sims 3 we will be able to get much more detailed when we are picking the hair for our Sims characters. Not only will you be able to have more styles but once you pick a Sims hair color you will then be able to use a shading wheel to create an almost unlimited number or Sim hair color possibilities. Those of us playing The Sims 3 will even be able to shade the roots of the Sim’s hair differently than the rest of their hair. That is just too cool! The coolness of the Sims 3 Create-a-Sim doesn’t just stop at hair color. In The Sims and The Sims 2 you could pick for a few different body types for your Sims characters. You could make your Sim be skinny, normal or chubby. That was a nice twist but what is coming with the Sims 3 Create-a-Sim tool is even better!

Just look at the screen capture that the EA Games folks released to demonstrate the options for weight change in The Sims 3. When we play The Sims 3 we will be able to pick from a a range of body types that go from very thin to very fat and just about anything in between. Which means that if you are trying to make a Sims character for The Sims 3 that looks like somebody you know in real life (yourself, maybe?) then you are going to be able to do it so much better once The Sims 3 is released!
